Li-Polymer Battery

Lithium Polymer Ion batteries provide the performance of the Li-ion in a thin or moldable package. They do not use a volatile liquid electrolyte and can sustain significant abuse without explosion or fire.
The lithium polymer uses a polymer gel electrolyte to replace the traditional liquid electrolyte. Lithium-polymer finds its market niche in wafer-thin geometries, such as batteries for credit cards and other such applications. Expected cycle life is about 500+ cycles.


The advantages of LiPo batteries include flexible form factor, high energy density, lightweight construction, high discharge rates, low self-discharge rate, fast charging capabilities, and versatility. These features make them an attractive choice for powering modern-day electronic devices and applications requiring compact, lightweight, and high-performance battery solutions.
Lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries are a type of rechargeable battery that uses a solid polymer electrolyte instead of the liquid electrolyte found in traditional lithium-ion batteries. They are known for their lightweight, slim profile, and flexibility, making them ideal for use in thin and space-constrained devices such as smartphones, tablets, and wearable electronics.
LiPo batteries are relatively safe, but precautions should be taken against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, etc., to prevent battery damage or safety incidents.
Charging voltage should not exceed the nominal value, and discharge voltage should remain within the specified range to avoid battery damage.
They should be stored in a well-ventilated and dry area, away from high temperatures and sources of ignition, and avoid long-term storage or over-discharging.
